  • SalesLion gets a facelift - new UI

Posted on May 14th, 2009 admin Comments

Getting excited - this was our top pick for the new user interface. When I see this, I think of a game. our office in China says it reminds them of the chinese game majiang -

and yes, I like it to look like a game. It is a game of sales. get numbers, get results, win. Compete against your sales team in the office. have a competition. Looking at this makes me want to make a sales call, pound the pavement, send email follow up. CLOSE MORE DEALS! That is what this system is about, driving new business, organizing a sales team, dominating your market and growing your market share.

so let the games begin! - Mike Michelini

Some of Saleslion team member climbed a hill on a very sunny day, May 5th 2009. Team sport is always physically and mentally healthy, during workday everyone was intense and busy in jobs, an outdoor event would provide more time for each other to communicate.

It turned out to be very interesting and funny. We all had fun although the weather was so hot, and we sweat like hell.

These are some pics. Check them out.

  • New Development

Posted on May 8th, 2009 Comments

What a week. We have done a lot on the development of the Saleslion Technology. We fully automated our sign ups. If a user signs up we automatically generate their subdomains, user account and landingpages.

After users sign in they will have to go through some simple steps to setup the system. The last part of this is our landing page system in where users can selects landingpage tempaltes and edit them with a What You See Is What You Get Editor. The system does not work perfect yet but we are getting there. Right now the Landing Page system is in Beta testing but we will roll out it pretty soon.

Basically our technology is becoming more advanced every day and we are happy with the progress we are making.

With our biggest achievements of this week being the automated landing page system and our fully automated sign up process.

    Keep you posted
    Cheers

  • Listening to Customer Demands

Posted on May 6th, 2009 admin Comments

Key to the success of this sales lion product is going to be listening to, and responding to customer demands.

Today I went on a sales call to one of our first users, here are some ideas and feedback:

They want to route all their inquiry and lead channels to saleslion.  Meaning their b2b lead sources like global sources and alibaba.  Also other vertical market directories specific to their industry.  But at the same time, they do not want to give saleslion.com full access to their account, or access to the email these incoming leads go to.  So we’re working on a group/shared email

    1) custom fields - as in yesterday’s email, they want to add product and location to their account.  This should not be a problem for Tommy to do.

    2) Globalsources.com integration - they REALLY want to have their globalsources.com inquiries go into the SalesLion.com dashboard.  I asked them to add username@saleslion.com email to the globalsources account - but they don’t want to have it go to an email they don’t “own”.  So then I asked them to setup “saleslion@theirurl.com email where the globalsources.com leads go.  She will ask management first.

    3) Landing pages - I explained to them their current destination URLs for their google ads needs work.  They were a little defensive.  I showed  them http://guest.saleslion.com and explained as part of our package we would design 1 landinge page.  They said they would need a lot of landing pages, and don’t want it to go off their own website.  I said we could give their webmaster feedback on how to change their current pages, and the 1 landing page would be made whether they need it or not, and they could add it to their site if they’d like.

    4) google ads - Helen, the staff there working on this, and she admits she needs help.  BUT they do not want to give up access to their adwords account.  They are willing to grant us access  through our API to view their account.  She said she wants to add the code herself to the destination url so the keyword goes to their dashboard.

Basically, they like the technology / leads management platform, but want to use their own website and their own adwords ,with us being consultants.  I told them normally our customers give us control of their adwords, so they cannot cancel and keep the adwords.  She said that they would not cancel because they like the lead management.  She will grant me acess to their adwords account to our saleslion adwords account.

This is how we will grow and succeed - keeping our ears to the ground, staying on top of technology, and responding to our customer requests quickly.

  • SalesLion Sales Strategy - Where, and What

Posted on May 5th, 2009 admin Comments

The rapid development of SalesLion.com over the past months have challenged my “sales and marketing” cap.  What price, what market.  We are currently trying to sell in Finland, USA, and China.  Its difficult, in my mind, to target 3 continents with a small startup.  Different cultures, willingness to pay, etc.  I am here in China, and targetting export factories and trading companies is the way I want to go.  Still working out the pricing strategy - believe it should be different level packages, as each customer has different needs.

I will be testing this local china market, and  want to help centralize these suppliers incoming leads and create a better sales system.loudspeaker1
